We are pleased to announce that as of Monday 6th July we are able to see patients for  routine examinations, minimal hygiene treatment and some routine dental procedures. We are also here to help with any of your emergency dental care needs.

The way our practice operates will seem a little different to previous visits. We have put in place a number of safety measures and procedures to protect both our patients and members of the Finkle Hill Dental team.

Infection control and the prevention of cross contamination has always been at the forefront of our day to day operation. However, the enforcement of new guidelines means that we are taking longer to put on / take off our personal protective equipment, leaving space between appointments and taking extra time to clean surgeries between patients. This in turn means that we are operating at a slightly slower pace and reduced capacity. This is something that we are working hard to improve over the coming weeks through the investment of new equipment to reduce the waiting time between patients.

We are currently operating a ‘locked door policy’ whereby patients  with an appointment should call the reception on arrival at the practice. If we are not ready for you, you may be asked to wait in your car or outside the practice until the previous patient has left the building. Once in the practice, hand sanitiser is available at the bottom of stairs before you make your way up to reception.

A member of our reception team will contact you the day before your appointment to confirm your time slot and go through a Covid-19 screening survey.

We are currently trying to prioritise patients who are in discomfort but we are also seeing patients for routine dental care and for treatment planned but not completed due to the pandemic lock-down. We are working hard to contact patients with outstanding treatment and overdue appointments. We ask that you are patient with us and we will endeavour to get in touch as soon as possible.

We would like to say a big thank you to all our patients for their continued support and patience during this difficult time. We look forward to seeing you all in the near future as we work towards our ‘new normal’. In  the meantime, we are a phone call away if you require an emergency appointment, advice or just a chat.

Kindest regards

Dr Cliff Palmer & The Finkle Hill Team
